The first joint webinar with the newly formed EU Road Safety Cluster - A great success!
We are thrilled to share that the first webinar from the six forward-thinking initiatives composing the EU Road Safety Cluster was held on 25 February 2025 and attracted a diverse audience of over 90 participants.
The webinar showcased innovative solutions for enhancing road safety in complex urban environments, presented by six forward-thinking initiatives: AI4CCAM, EVENTS, FRODDO, HEIDI, PHOEBE and SOTERIA. Through brief spotlight presentations and expert discussions, the projects highlighted their unique approaches to improving road safety.
Despite their distinct areas of focus, the cluster projects are united by a shared vision: advancing the “safe system” approach and improving safety for all road users, particularly vulnerable groups such as pedestrians, cyclists, and individuals with reduced mobility. By harnessing cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), simulation environments, predictive analytics, and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and more, these projects collectively contribute to safer, more resilient urban mobility systems.
The webinar offered participants valuable insights into how these diverse innovations complement each other, working in harmony to transform urban road safety.
