The SOTERIA project is approaching its final milestone, bringing together cutting-edge research, real-world experimentation, and collaborative innovation in urban road safety. To mark this important moment and share its results, we invite you to join the SOTERIA Final Event, taking place at the University of Deusto in Bilbao on 28 April 2026.
What to expect
The SOTERIA Final Event will offer a unique opportunity to explore key findings and lessons learned from the project’s Living Labs, alongside innovative data-driven solutions designed to respond to the evolving challenges of urban environments.
A central pillar of SOTERIA is the co-creation of road safety solutions with Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs) and local communities. By embedding this process in real-life contexts, the project has developed approaches that are not only innovative but also inclusive, equitable and practical. A dedicated session will highlight how co-creation has been applied, showcasing concrete examples of how VRU needs have shapedthe solutions developed.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
• Discover key findings and results from SOTERIA research and Living Lab activities
• Explore innovative data-driven road safety solutions and their potential for replication
• Engage with public and private stakeholders, researchers and practitioners shaping the future of road safety
The hybrid event will be structured around interactive sessions, a panel discussion and live demonstrations of digital solutions.
