SOTERIA at RTR Conference 2025: Exploring road safety in a joint session with PHOEBE

SOTERIA, represented by Dr. Marina Georgiou (Netcompany-Intrasoft) from the project coordination team, proudly participated in the RTR Conference 2025, the 8th edition of the European Conference on Results from Road Transport Research. The event took place in Brussels from 11–13 February 2025, bringing together key stakeholders who showcased cutting-edge EU-funded research shaping the future of mobility.

SOTERIA, alongside its sister project PHOEBE, was featured on Day 2 of the Conference in Parallel Session 10: "Predictive safety assessment framework and safer urban environment for vulnerable road users" on 12 February 2025, from 11:45–13:00.

Dr. Georgiou presented SOTERIA’s innovative solutions for safer and greener mobility for vulnerable road users (VRUs), highlighting efforts to integrate micro-mobility into urban environments and foster inclusive transport for all. The latest results from SOTERIA’s four Living Labs were also showcased, along with the expected impacts of the project’s innovations on urban road safety.

Following the presentations, engaging discussions with the audience unfolded, moderated by Dr. Georgios Tzamalis (EC, DG MOVE) and Dr. Magnus Granstrom (CHALMERS).

The RTR Conference was a great opportunity to showcase the important work carried out by the SOTERIA consortium and to continue strengthening collaborations with fellow European projects on the journey toward safer mobility for all!
