SOTERIA showcased at the ITS European Congress 2025 in Seville

SOTERIA marked a strong presence at the ITS European Congress 2025, held from 19 to 21 May in Seville, where leading stakeholders gathered to explore innovative solutions for clean, resilient, and smart mobility.

The project’s participation culminated in Special Interest Session SIS 58: Road Safety Innovation through Advanced Technologies for Resilient Mobility, organised by SOTERIA in collaboration with the EU Road Safety Cluster — a coalition of EU-funded projects tackling today’s most pressing road safety challenges.

Speakers from the four Cluster projects — AI4CCAM, EVENTS, PHOEBE, and SOTERIA — shared how their technologies and approaches are addressing the growing complexity of urban transport while placing the needs of vulnerable road users at the centre.

Ms Akrivi Vivian Kiousi, representing Frontier Innovations, presented SOTERIA’s cutting-edge solutions for safer urban environments and highlighted key findings from recent demonstrations. The session was moderated by Dr Giannis Karaseitanidis from I-SENSE Group of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).

Beyond the session, SOTERIA was also featured at the Netcompany booth in the exhibition area, enabling insightful exchanges and networking with mobility and technology experts, policymakers, and researchers.

The ITS European Congress provided a valuable opportunity to spotlight the work of SOTERIA partners, engage with the broader transport innovation community, and strengthen collaboration within the EU Road Safety Cluster — all in pursuit of safer, smarter mobility for all.
