SOTERIA Urban Road Safety Expert Workshop: Parallel event at the 8th IRTAD International Conference 2026
The SOTERIA project will host a dedicated workshop as a side event to the International Traffic Safety Data and Analysis Group (IRTAD) Conference in Athens, Greece, on 15 April 2026.

The SOTERIA workshop will introduce data-driven approaches for reducing risks in different urban environments, with a particular focus on Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs). It will bring together experts in urban mobility and road safety to explore how behavioural analysis, micro-mobility and traffic data insights and advanced analytics can support evidence-based policymaking and the design of effective safety interventions.
Participants will have the opportunity to review innovative methodologies, explore infrastructure and data requirements, and share their perspectives to help shape SOTERIA’s final recommendations, aligned with the Vision Zero objectives.
Organised back-to-back with the PHOEBE project workshop, the SOTERIA workshop will foster cross‑project exchange and collaboration among leading practitioners, researchers and policymakers in the field of road safety.
